The Women-Owned Small
Business (WOSB) program authorizes Contracting Officers to award sole-source contracts
to WOSBs.


Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)

The qualities developed in the
military- discipline, tenacity, and adaptability-  make Service-
Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) excellent entrepreneurs.


Business Zones

In full and open competition, a HUBZone-certified company bid
is given a 10 percent price-evaluation preference.

Small Disadvantaged
Business (SDB)



Each year, the Federal Government awards about 10%
of all Federal contract dollars, or roughly $50 billion in contracts, to Small Disadvantaged Businesses.


To help provide a level playing field for small businesses owned by socially and economically disadvantaged
people or entities, the government limits competition for certain contracts to businesses that participate in the 8(a) Business Development program.
